| The old Christian church of Chrysopolitissa is situated nearly opposite the rear entrance of the Folk Art Museum. Although roof-less,the walled up Gothic archway is interesting. This building is being rented by the National Trust of Northern Cyprus (8153738), who are trying to raise the funds to erect a new roof and eventually use the church as their headquarters. There are some 200 members, who have done much work in raising funds and organising tree planting after the terrible fire that raged for four days along the mountains in 1995. |
